 Isaiah 61

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;

SEEK, HIDE, WAIT & TRUST (Part 2)

Updated: Apr 20, 2018

In my last blog I mentioned the fact that it was a very painful process to be delivered from ministry and to finally come into the place of ministering out of a relationship with Father God. One of the important things we need to know about our Poppa God is that we have a place to run when the storms of life hit And when the process for transformation is painful.

The last key we discussed was that seeking God is a key element in maintaining our relationship.

Another key, is learning to hide and abide in Him

HOW DO WE MAINTAIN A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?

BY SEEKING AND HIDING.

PSALM 27

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the defense of my life;

Whom shall I dread?

2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,

My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though a host encamp against me,

My heart will not fear;

Though war arise against me,

In spite of this I shall be confident.

4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of the Lord

And to meditate in His temple.

5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;

In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;

He will lift me up on a rock.

6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,

And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;

I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice,

And be gracious to me and answer me.

8 When You said, “ Seek My face,” my heart said to You,

“Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.”

9 Do not hide Your face from me,

Do not turn Your servant away in anger;

You have been my help;

Do not abandon me nor forsake me,

O God of my salvation!

10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me,

But the Lord will take me up.

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,

And lead me in a level path

Because of my foes.

12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries,

For false witnesses have risen against me,

And such as breathe out violence.

13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.

14 Wait for the Lord;

Be strong and let your heart take courage;

Yes, wait for the Lord.

DAVID UNDERSTOOD THE IMPORTANCE OF HIDING AND ABIDING.

5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;

In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;

He will lift me up on a rock.

6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,

And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;

I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Psalms 31:19-20

How great is Your goodness,

Which You have stored up for those who fear You,

Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You,

Before the sons of men!

20 You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man;

You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.

Psalms 91:1-2

PSALM 91

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,

My God, in whom I trust!”

DAVID KNEW HE COULD HIDE HIMSELF IN GOD AND THAT GOD WOULD PROTECT HIM AND GIVE HIM THE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME HIS ENEMY.

Psalms 18:28-33

For You light my lamp;

The Lord my God enlightens my darkness.

29 For by You I can run against a troop;

And by my God I can leap over a wall.

30 As for God, His way is perfect;

The word of the Lord is proven;

He is a shield to all who trust (take refuge) in Him.

31 For who is God, but the Lord?

And who is a rock, except our God,

32 It is God who arms me with strength

And makes my way perfect?

33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer (hinds’ feet,)

And sets me upon my high places.

FIRST HE SAYS GODS WAY IS PERFECT THEN HE SAYS HE MAKES MY WAY PERFECT.

Habakkuk 3:19

The Lord God is my strength,

And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet,

And makes me walk on my high places.

GOD WANTS US, HIS PEOPLE TO BE OVERCOMERS THEREFORE HE EQUIPS US WITH WHAT WE NEED TO OVERCOME WHEN WE SEEK HIM, WHEN WE HIDE OURSELVES IN HIM.

FATHER WE THANK YOU THAT WE CAN NOT ONLY SEEK YOU BUT THAT WE CAN HIDE OURSELVES IN YOU. WE CAN ABIDE IN YOU. THANK YOU THAT YOU ARM US WITH STRENGTH, YOU CAUSE US TO BE OVERCOMERS, AND YOU MAKE OUR WAY PERFECT.
