In the past three years one of the biggest things I have learned is my need to be delivered from ministry. Being a young Pastors Wife getting caught up in what is expected of you from man or organizations can send you into a works mentality.
Getting caught up in the excitement of being called and used by God to be or do something, when you have always felt like a nobody can send you into a man pleasing spirit as fast as you can blink your eyes. And if your are a person who has never felt good enough, or struggled with low self esteem or insecurities you will fall head long into a titles mentality. It took a painful process to finally be free from all of that but, oh my the freedom that has come to my life is amazing and through it all God is fulfilling a word that he spoke to me eight years ago and is now bringing me into a place where I can minister out of a real relationship with Him. It’s the most extravagant Relationship we can have and it is of utmost importance that we maintain it!
THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF CHRISTIANITY IS NOT THE WORK WE DO, BUT THE RELATIONSHIP WE MAINTAIN AND THE SURROUNDING INFLUENCE AND QUALITIES PRODUCED BY THAT RELATIONSHIP.
THAT IS ALL GOD ASK US TO GIVE OUR ATTENTION TO, AND IT IS THE ONE THING THAT IS CONTINUALLY UNDER ATTACK.

HOW CAN WE MAINTAIN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?
BY TRUSTING
Psalm
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.
4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall SEEK:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock.
6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice,
And be gracious to me and answer me.
8 When You said, “ SEEK My face,” my heart said to You,
“Your face, O Lord, I shall SEEK.”
9 Do not hide Your face from me,
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not abandon me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
But the Lord will take me up.
11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a level path
Because of my foes.
12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries,
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, Wait for the Lord.
HOW DO WE MAINTAIN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?
#1 DETERMINATION NOT TO FEAR ENEMIES.
DAVID WAS DETERMINED NOT TO FEAR HIS ENEMIES BECAUSE HE KNEW,
THAT GOD WAS TO HIM, HIS LIGHT, HIS SALVATION AND THE STRENGTH OF HIS LIFE.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.
LIGHT= IS BEING DELIVERED FROM DARKNESS
AND SALVATION MEANS BEING SAVED FROM DAMNATION AND DESTRUCTION.
WE SHOULD NOT FEAR THE ENEMY, WE SHOULD HOWEVER HAVE THE FEAR OF THE LORD.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 14:26-27
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence,
And his children will have refuge.
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
That one may avoid the snares of death.
WE NEED THE FEAR OF THE LORD!!
#2 DESIRE= LONG FOR- REQUEST-CRAVE TO LIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD.
Psalms 27:4
One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall SEEK:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
DAVID’S DESIRE WAS TO DWELL IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD TO BEHOLD HIS BEAUTY AND TO INQUIRE IN HIS TEMPLE.
HIS HEART WAS TO BE IN GODS PRESENCE BECAUSE HE KNEW GOD WOULD TAKE CARE OF HIM AND PROTECT HIM.
EVERYTHING GOD WAS TO DAVID HE IS TO US LET’S SEEK HIM WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND AND DESIRE HIS PRESENCE ABOVE ALL ELSE.
FATHER CONSUME OUR HEARTS WITH FIRE AND DESIRE FOR YOUR PRESENCE. MAY WE EVER LIVE OUR LIVES TO SEEK YOU, TO FIND YOU, TO SEEK YOUR KINGDOM, TO KNOW YOU AND BE KNOWN BY YOU!
