In our last few blogs we discussed the fact that waiting is a key element in maintaining our relationship. Another key is learning to trust Him.
HOW DO WE MAINTAIN A RELATIONSHIP GOD?
BY SEEKING, HIDING, WAITING, AND TRUSTING.
PSALM 27
A Psalm of Fearless TRUST in God.
A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.
4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock.
6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice,
And be gracious to me and answer me.
8 When You said, “ Seek My face,” my heart said to You,
“Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.”
9 Do not hide Your face from me,
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not abandon me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
But the Lord will take me up.
11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a level path
Because of my foes.
12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries,
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart TAKE COURAGE;
Yes, wait for the Lord.
THROUGH OUT THE SCRIPTURE WE SEE DAVID CONTINUALLY PRAYING PRAYERS OF TRUST IN THE GOD
Psalms 3:1-8
Morning Prayer of TRUST in God.
A Psalm of David
1 O Lord, how my adversaries have increased!
Many are rising up against me.
2 Many are saying of my soul,
“There is no deliverance for him in God.”
Selah.
3 But You, O Lord, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
4 I was crying to the Lord with my voice,
And He answered me from His holy mountain.
Selah.
PSALM 4
Evening Prayer of TRUST in God.
A Psalm of David.
1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
2 O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach?
How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception?
Selah.
3 But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself;
The Lord hears when I call to Him.
4 Tremble, and do not sin;
Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still.
Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And TRUST in the Lord.
6 Many are saying, “ Who will show us any good?”
Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord!
7 You have put gladness in my heart,
More than when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.
DAVIDS PRAYER IN THE MORNING WAS A PRAYER OF TRUST AND HIS PRAYER IN THE EVENING WAS A PRAYER OF TRUST.

Psalms 56:3-4

I will put my trust in You.
4 In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere man do to me?

And whose trust is the Lord.
LETS SEEK HIM, HIDE IN HIM, WAIT ON HIM, AND TRUST HIM. LETS DO WHAT WE KNOW WE CAN DO BECAUSE WE TRUST HIM TO DO IT THROUGH US.
FATHER WE THANK YOU FOR THE THINGS YOU HAVE DONE IN US AND WE TRUST YOU TO DO THE THINGS YOU NEED TO DO IN US.
MAY WE EVER SEEK YOUR FACE, HIDE IN YOUR PRESENCE, WAIT UPON YOU, AND TRUST YOU IN ALL OUR WAYS!!
