THE WITNESS

John 5:30-32

IN JOHN 5 JESUS SAID

“ I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is

just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

31 “ If I alone testify about Myself, My testimony is not true. 32 There is another

who testifies of Me, and I know that the testimony which He gives about Me is

true.

John 5:33-47

WITNESS OF JOHN

33 You have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. 34 But the testimony

which I receive is not from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved.

35 He was the lamp that was burning and was shining and you were willing to

rejoice FOR AWHILE in his light.

WITNESS OF WORKS

36 But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the

works which the FATHER HAS GIVEN Me to accomplish —the very WORKS that I

do —TESTIFY about Me, THAT THE FATHER HAS SENT ME.

WITNESS OF THE FATHER

37 And the Father who sent Me, HE HAS TESTIFIED OF ME. You have neither heard

His voice at any time nor seen His form. 38 You do not have His word abiding in

you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

WITNESS OF THE SCRIPTURE

39 YOU SEARCH the SCRIPTURES because you think that IN THEM you have

ETERNAL LIFE; it is these that TESTIFY ABOUT ME; 40 and you are UNWILLING

TO COME TO ME so that YOU MAY HAVE LIFE. 41 I do not receive glory from men;

42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves. 43 I have

come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his

own name, you will receive him. 44 How can you believe, when you receive glory

from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only

God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who

accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. 46 For if you believed

Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe

his writings, how will you believe My words?”

SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES IS NOT WRONG IS IT?

NO!!!!

WE MUST SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!!!!

IT IS A MATTER OF WHY WE SEARCH THE SCRIPTURE THAT MAKES IT RIGHT OR

WRONG.

DON'T SEARCH FOR THE WHAT OF THE SCRIPTURES SEARCH FOR THE WHO OF

THE SCRIPTURES.

IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT WE CAN GET FROM THE WORD OF GOD ITS ABOUT WHO

WE CAN GET.

Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

DON'T SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES TO FIND LIFE SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES FOR

THE GIVER OF LIFE.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for

correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be

adequate, equipped for every good work.

WHEN WE SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES FOR THE WHO,

HE GIVES US THE WHAT, THE WHEN, AND THE WHERE

HE DOESN'T ALWAYS GIVE US THE WHY

BUT WHEN WE BEGAN TO FUNCTION IN THE WHAT

WE RECEIVE THE WITNESS

THE WITNESS OF THE FATHER

THE WITNESS OF THE WORD (JESUS)

THE WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE WITNESS OF LOVE

THE WITNESS OF WORKS

John 14:12-15

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do

also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13

Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified

in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

15 “ If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

CAN HE GET A WITNESS?

WILL WE BE HIS WITNESS?

THAT IS THE QUESTION!

IF THE ANSWER IS YES THEN WE MUST SEARCH THE SCRIPTURE AND PRESENT

OURSELVES TO GOD APPROVED.

(2 Timothy 2:15 AMP)

Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved

(tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly

analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the

Word of Truth.

FATHER WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORD.

WE THANK YOU THAT WHEN WE SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES YOU ILLUMINATE

OUR MINDS WITH WHO YOU ARE AND THANK YOU FOR TEACHING US TO

TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE YOUR WORD AND TO SKILLFULLY TEACH YOUR WORD.

WE THANK YOU THAT WE CAN BE YOUR WITNESSES

THROUGHOUT THE EARTH AND DO GREATER WORKS!
